Liverpool have not given up on their plan to acquire Bryan Mbeumo, a talented forward from Brentford, even though they have extended Mohamed Salah’s contract.

    The Cameroon international has been in fine form in the Premier League, with his pace and power, most recently scoring twice in a 4-2 home win over Brighton, taking his tally of goals in the Premier League to 18 this season.
