Newcastle boss Eddie Howe believes his team are unable to maintain their momentum in the game. After only opening a draw at home, West Ham 1-1
“It was a tight game. And we got off to a really good start. It was a rather strange start to the game. We didn’t always do that in the first half. The second half did better. But we can’t knock them out.”
“I don’t think we were bad in the first half. But we can’t maintain our momentum. I don’t think we can do as we did in this game. They scored really bad goals given our high standards.
“In the second half we wanted to create intensity again. We did that mostly in the second half, we had the ball and had chances, but we didn’t take those chances.
When asked if it had to do with Bruno Guimaraes not being able to use in this game UFABET, Howe replied: “There’s no doubt he’s the one who makes the difference with his keen eye. He has a flair for creating games that we should be thinking about today.”
Howe also said of Anthony Gordon’s debut: “What he delivered was brilliant. I was delighted. I was expecting goals and assists but overall very good. “
On four draws in his last five Premier League games, Howe said: “Newcastle playing against us now it’s like looking at us twice. Teams will give us a hard time. West Ham need a tight game. The responsibility is on us to smash them.”
